The UCPN (Maoist) has urged the CPN (UML) to support the government to be formed under its leadership.
The UCPN (Maoist), one of coalition partners in the present government, urged this during a meeting held between the two parties at the official residence of the Prime Minister, Baluwatar, late night on Wednesday. The CPN (UML), however, expressed the view that the incumbent alliance should be made stronger.
In response, the UCPN (Maoist) asked the CPN (UML) to support the government to be formed under its leadership, reasoning that the main opposition Nepali Congress was also ready to support for the same.
Present on the occasion were Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman, KP Sharma Oli, as well as other UML leaders and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Vice-Chairman Narayankaji Shrestha, among others.
