An extensive book exhibition is taking place at the Marwadi Sewa Sadan in Biratnagar from May 2 to 12.
Ghost Writing Nepal Chairman, Kamal Dhakal, said the book fair will see collection and sales of old and rare books, interaction among writers and readers, daily poets’ seminars, multi-language poets’ seminars, Gazal (classic song) performance, poem recitation among others.
The fair will also showcase dramas, interaction with experts on philosophy, politics, film, education, culture, sports, economy and song and dance performances along with rare photos of Madan Bhandari.
The organizers expect book lovers from as far as India’s Darjeeling, Kharsang, Sikkim, Jalpaiguri and Assam, and eastern districts of Nepal to visit the fair.
The fair being participated by more than 100 publication houses will cost an estimated Rs 3 million, organizers said. Books in Nepali, English and Hindi languages will be exhibited. RSS
