The Dailekh District Court has issued a prohibitory order in name of District Development Committee (DDC), municipality and the police administration to uphold systematic management and sanitation of the district headquarters.
A bench led by Justice, Prakash Prasad Pandit, issued the order after advocate duo Mani Raj Acharya and Matrika Prasad Khanal filed a writ petition at the Dailekh Court on April 8 against ‘encroachment on district’s religious, archeological and historical beauty’ by residents of the central town.
The prohibitory order was issued after a hearing on the writ petition, said Court Registrar, Govinda Acharya.
The petitioners have argued that responsibility lies with the DDC, District Administration Office, police, municipality and traffic police to manage the garbage littering the streets, removing materials used in construction obstructing the road and the trade items spread on the roadside by street vendors.
