Kathmandu, May 3: The Election Commission (EC) on Monday held a meeting with foreign ambassadors, donor agencies and representatives of Ministry of Finance and Foreign Affairs, which have been providing economic and technical assistance to EC on election related tasks.
On the occasion, acting Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav extended thanks to the donor agencies for their continuous support in course of election time and expected same level of support for holding elections in future.
Likewise, Election Commissioner Ela Sharma shed light on the tasks accomplished by the EC in the past and its future plan and activities.
Presentations were made on the election to be held in near future and its preparations.
The discussion was attended by EC Secretary Sharada Prasad Trital and ambassadors to Nepal from the United States, Finland, Bangladesh, South Korea, Denmark, India, China, Norway, Japan, Switzerland and Australia. RSS
