Minister for Defense Bal Krishna Khand has said the online news portal has a bright future in the present digital world.
Inaugurating an online news portal, dainikpatra.com, established by Butwal Media Publications Pvt Ltd here on Thursday, Minister Khand said the online news portal should stress on disseminating authentic and credible news content to win the trust of the people in view of bright future of digital technology in journalism.

The online media has the power to disseminate its content beyond a certain geographical boundary, he said, adding that the online media should pick time relevant contents.
Publications Chairperson Mahesh Man Singh presided over the programme.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khand also shared that preparation is underway to deploy 10,000 Nepal Army personnel for UN peacekeeping mission. The increment in number is a reward to the NA for its performance in the international peacekeeping missions.

He said this while inaugurating the new-constructed four-room building of Kanti Secondary School in Butwal of Rupandehi. School Management Committee Chairperson Bal Krishna Chapagain presided over the programme.
