6 women journalists were feted on the occasion of the Hindu women’s great festival of Haritalika Teej in the district on Sunday.

The women journalists along with National News Agency (RSS) correspondent, Sarita Rai, were honoured in recognition for their role in social transformation. The Community Service Centre honoured the journalists with letters of appreciation and shawls.

The feted journalists are RSS correspondent Sarita Rai, Saraswoti Tamang and Sharada Tamang from Radio Bhojpur, Bidya Rai of Kantipur Publications, and Manita Rai and Sushila Rai of Radio Chumolung.
