A local businessman has extended a grant assistance of  50,000 for the development of Jumla’s sports sector.

Chanda Bahadur Khadka of Sandhya Stationery Jumla provided the assistance for continuity of a provincial level volleyball tournament which was held from September 1 to 3. “The sports sector is a matter of pride for any country, it produces new players and for their development I have donated,” he said.

Khadka, a few months ago, had donated 10,000 for purchasing wheelchairs for differently abled citizens and for basketball tournament.

Coach, Baram Bahadur Mahat, said the personal donations from businessman Khadka has been a source of inspiration of volleyball players and sports fraternity in the district.
