Rabin has been admitted to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital, but the hospital has demanded the Gurung family deposit Rs 300,000 in advance for his treatment which is not affordable for them.
He was struck by a boulder on April 27 while trying to help the locals and police to douse the bushfire that spread in the Panchase area for the past three days.
The Gurung family which originally hails from Dandakharka-6 is currently living in Ramja Deurali-4 and is a daily wage earner.

Doctors advised that Rabin needs the head surgery and regular medication for the next six months, as shared by her mother. The Gurung family has said that they yet found no one in site to help them out.
When approached, Parbat’s Chief District Officer Jhanka Dhakal said he was effortful both personally and officially to release amount necessary for the medical treatment of Rabin from the District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee, pledging to leave no stone unturned on his part towards that end.
