The Nepal Army personnel have taken 26 Yarshagumba pickers under their control while they were illegally picking the highly valued herb at Kunasa in the northern part of Dolpa district.
All of the arrested are from Dolpa, according to Devendra GC, an official of the Shey Phoksundo National Park.
A patrolling team of Nepal Army nabbed them for picking Yarshagumba before the official date announced by the local authority for the same.
The arrested will be brought to district headquarters today for further action, according to the National Park.
Nepal Army have stepped up patrolling in various places of the district to curb the wanton picking of yarsha, according to Ram Dev Chaudhary, Conservation Officer at the National Park. RSS
