The members of parliament representing the district have pledged assistance in construction of an international level exhibition centre at the open ground within the premises of the Cottage and Small Industries Office in Bharatpur.
The lawmakers made such commitments during an interaction programme organized by Association of Chitwan Industries on Sunday.
The Association is taking the initiative for the construction of the centre estimated to cost around 300 million.
Lawmaker and former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, Krishna Bhakta Pokharel, Kashinath Adhikari, Shesh Nath Adhikari, Ram Krishna Ghimire, Anjani Shrestha, Gita Wagle, Bishnu Maya Pariyar and Sabitri Chaudhary pledged support with acknowledgement of the need to construct such a centre.
Association’s immediate past Chairman, Krishna Adhikari, said the industries had demanded 1 hundread 50 million from the government with plans to fundraise another 1 hundread 50 million from private sector and organizations.
