A two-day international seminar on ‘Earthquake Engineering and Post-disaster Reconstruction’ will take place on April 24 in the district.
The Khwopa Engineering College is organizing the seminar from April 24 to 26, said Sujan Maka, principal at the college.

The seminar is aimed at creating awareness among the public about the consequences of the quake.

Engineers, professors and researchers in the related field from different 15 countries including Nepal, China, Denmark, Germany, Japan, and Italy will attend the programme and are scheduled to present 62 research papers regarding the quake on the occasion, organizers said.

The seminar will be concluded after issuing the Bhaktapur declaration.
