More than a month into the new school session, students here still do not have the textbooks, hampering their studies.

Students of Grade six and seven in both community and private schools do not have the textbooks of all the subjects yet while those of Grade 9 and 10 do not have the textbooks of the elective subjects, mathematics, English, education and computer science subjects.

Information Officer at the District Education Office Mahendra Subedi said that five percent of the students at community schools do not have the textbooks yet.

There is a shortage of school textbooks in the local market due to the short supply. RSS
