Wrong to talk about constitution amendment in India: leader Bijukchhe

Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) Narayan Man Bijukchhe has said it is wrong for the government to discuss about amendment of the constitution by sending an emissary to India.

Addressing the 25th Founding Day and Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Bhaktapur Development Association here today, leader Bijukchhe opined that discussing about constitution amendment by sending an emissary to India is a big blow on Nepal’s sovereignty.

He also stated that it was wrong of the present government to seek to give the responsibility of construction of the Kathmandu-Tarai Fast-track to India, stressing that the State itself should take the initiatives for carrying out the development works.

He said the implementation of the constitution could not be expected from a government that could not even get a full shape for a month now.

The NWPP chairman stressed on holding the local bodies’ election based on the present structure of the local bodies if there is problem in the number and delineation of the local bodies.
